1. What we collect
- Account data: email address, an optional manager name (shown to other players in league tables), and a hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
- Game data: your squad, lineups, transfers, leagues, and points.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent) used for security (e.g. rate limiting and abuse prevention) and kept briefly.
- Analytics & advertising data: none right now — we run no analytics or advertising. If we ever introduce them they will be consent-gated, and this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated first.
2. What we use it for (and the lawful basis)
- Running the game and your account — performance of a contract.
- Security, rate limiting and abuse prevention — legitimate interests.
- Analytics and advertising cookies (none currently used) — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
3. What other players see
Your team name, display name, and points appear in league standings visible to other members of your leagues (the Overall League includes all players). Your email address is never shown to other players.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with our hosting provider, Render, which runs the Service and stores its database in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), and with our email provider, Hostinger, which delivers account emails — signup verification, password resets, and gameweek deadline reminders — to the address you registered. We currently use no analytics or advertising providers; if that changes, they will be consent-gated and listed here first.
5. Retention
Account and game data are kept while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your personal data; anonymised game statistics may be retained. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR (and equivalent laws) you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing. You can delete your account yourself from account settings. To exercise any right, email privacy@fantasygoalsleague.com. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) or your local authority.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data; contact us if you believe a child has registered.
8. Changes
We'll announce material changes in the Service and update the effective date above.
