1. Build your squad
You have £100,000,000 (100M FG) to sign a 16-player squad from the real Premier League: 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 4 forwards. Player prices reflect form — they drift up when players score points and drift down when they blank — so a bargain today may not stay one.
Your squad is fully editable — save it as many times as you like — until the season’s first gameweek kicks off. After that it locks, and changes happen through the weekly transfer (or your once-a-season wildcard, below).
2. Pick your team
Before each gameweek’s deadline — kickoff of the first fixture — choose a starting XI from your squad: one goalkeeper plus ten outfield players in any legal formation with 2–5 defenders, 2–6 midfielders, and 1–5 forwards. Only your starting XI scores points, and you can change it as often as you like until the deadline.

The armbands — different here
Captain ×2
Doubles their points every gameweek.
Vice-captain ×1.5
Counts every week — not just as a backup when your captain blanks.
Both multipliers apply independently. If your captain doesn’t play, you simply miss the ×2 that week — the vice-captain’s ×1.5 keeps counting regardless.
3. Make your weekly transfer
Each gameweek you may swap one squad player for a new player in the same position, provided the new squad still fits the budget. Transfers lock at the deadline too — no mid-gameweek changes.
4. Score points — it’s all about the goals
Forget clean sheets and appearance points as the main event — here, goals are the whole game. Every goal your squad scores counts, weighted so the unlikeliest scorers are worth the most: a forward’s goal is worth +1, a midfielder’s +2, a defender’s +5, and a goalkeeper goal is a massive +50. Clean sheets still add +5 on top, but it’s the goals that decide your week. See Scoring Explained for the full table.
Chips — four aces up your sleeve
Each is playable once per season, from the Pick Team page:
- Wildcard — unlocks your whole squad for a full rebuild (any players in or out, within budget) until the next gameweek’s first match. You can undo it with one click, but only until you actually change your squad — after that it’s locked in for the season.
- Triple Captain — your captain scores ×3 that gameweek instead of ×2.
- Double Vice — your vice-captain scores ×2 that gameweek instead of the usual ×1.5.
- Bench Boost — every player in your squad scores that gameweek, bench included, not just your starting XI.
One chip per gameweek. Triple Captain, Double Vice and Bench Boost can be changed or removed until the deadline; once the gameweek is played, the chip is spent.
Leagues
Every team automatically joins the Overall League. You can also create your own league and share its join code with friends, join a friend’s league with their code, or browse public leagues. Standings update as each gameweek is scored.
